2017 CQ WW RULES --- > A few updates have been made to the rules, "effective
for the 2017 CQWW SSB and CW weekends. Full rules will be published soon. In
addition to the updates, the thought process behind each update is included.
We hope this will provide some insight into the reasons for the updates":
see http://cqww.com/blog/2017-cqww-rules-update-announcement/.

IAAW 2017 --- > The 4th International Air Ambulance Week will take place on
9-17 September. The event is primarily intended to help support and

NEW IOTA WEBSITE ---> "IOTA Ltd's IT Group has worked tirelessly on the
development of the new IOTA administration software and the new IOTA
website", Johan PA3EXX reported on 23 July. "One of the significant
developments was the implementation of paperless QSLing through QSO matching
via Club Log. This part has been available to the IOTA community on the
existing IOTA system since July 2016. The process of adding operations that
are valid for IOTA has been on-going, resulting in very large number of
credits being given.
We are targeting the launch of the new IT system for early September.
Software developers should be aware that this may affect any application
using data from www.rsgbiota.org since this website will be taken offline.
Please contact us at info[@]iota-world.org if your software uses data from
www.rsgbiota.org and you want to have access to this kind of data in the
future".

RI0C ---> Activity from Iony Island (AS-069) started on 25 July around 7 UTC
reportedly with only three operators running 100 watts. After going through
many trials and tribulations, RI0C went QRT some 48 hours later.

VOACAP DIY ---> "VOACAP Online now has an option to offer do-it-yourself HF
propagation predictions, suitable for the websites of DXpeditions (and for
other needs, too). Just embed a small snippet of code in your HTML codebase,
and you are set to go. It's free": http://www.voacap.com/diy-charts.html.
